Practice pages carry structured data a machine can read

What the source requires

Schema.org markup describing the practice, its locations, its practitioners and its services lets search and answer engines read the page as data rather than inferring it from prose. Google is explicit that this earns no entitlement: "Google does not guarantee that your structured data will show up in search results, even if your page is marked up correctly according to the Rich Results Test."

Why this is hard to satisfy

Most practice sites were delivered without it, and the ones that have it often describe the agency that built the site rather than the practice. Nobody re-checks it when a location is added, so a multi-location practice ends up with markup for three of its five sites.

What we do about it

Report which entities are described, which are missing, and which contradict the page they sit on. Advisory only: we report what is present and what a reader could infer, and we never predict a search outcome from it.
