WA-ADV-MISLEADINGBoundedlegally required

Advertising that is false, fraudulent or misleading

What the source requires

Washington defines unprofessional conduct for a licence holder to include all advertising which is false, fraudulent, or misleading — with no substantiation escape written into the clause.

Why this is hard to satisfy

The clause is short and absolute, and the copy it catches is ordinary superlative marketing that reads as enthusiasm rather than as a claim.

What we do about it

Claims are checked against the wording before publication, and the substantiation is held with the claim rather than recalled later.

What this tier means

Formal reasoning over a bounded policy. Sound only for what the policy models, so we say “checked against”, never “guaranteed”.
